TinyMiner
A downloadable demo for Windows
You were hauling cargo to a relay station. Then the navigation died, something small caught you, and you woke up in the grass next to what is left of your ship.
The planet is the size of a garden. You can walk around it in forty seconds. There is iron in the rocks, crystal in the veins, and something rarer in the clusters that glow.
Mine it, build a workbench, make the parts your ship needs, and put them back where they belong.
You have fifteen minutes. Not because you are running out of air, but because the planet is running out of time. It will come apart under you, and the ground will start shaking long before it does.
WHAT YOU DO
- Walk a whole world in less than a minute, gravity pointing wherever you stand
- Mine three kinds of ore, each slower to pull out than the last
- Craft at a workbench you carry and place yourself
- Repair three systems on the wreck, then take off
CONTROLS
- WASD or ZQSD to move, Shift to run
- Left click to mine and to place things
- E to interact with the wreck and the workbench
- I for the inventory, F for the flashlight
- Mouse wheel to zoom, Escape for the menu and the settings
A NOTE
This is my first game. I made it alone in a week for the jam, learning Godot while building it, so I picked something far too ambitious for the time I had. What is here is the first fifteen minutes of a much longer idea: every planet dying, bases you keep alive by hauling resources between them, and eventually a shared space with other people in it. I did not get that far. There is a letter at the end that says the rest.
If you play it, I would really like to hear what you think.

Install instructions
Windows only, 64 bit. Nothing to install.
1. Unzip the folder anywhere you like.
2. Keep TinyMiner.exe and TinyMiner.pck together in the same folder. The game will not start without both.
3. Run TinyMiner.exe.
Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" box the first time. That is because
the file is not signed, not because anything is wrong with it. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Settings for controls, resolution and volume are in the menu, and also under Escape while you play. Your progress saves on its own.
